Mi iris por elekti --- A voting I did go

Esperanto

Today I went to the town of Daggett, Michigan, to vote in the primary election. This is a picture of the voting place. In addition to this building, the town of Daggett has one small grocery store, one tavern, and one church.

I was voter number 44 for the day. I voted for Huckabee (no big surprise). My mom voted for John McCain.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. My son and I were interested in Esperanto. Did you teach yourself? We'd love to know more about it.
Nice blog. Very interesting.

Good god Nissa, is this really you?

Drop me a line, please.

Hi Esther,
Nice to hear from you. I taught myself Esperanto when I was in college from a book called 'Teach Yourself Esperanto'. If you are interested in Esperanto, I have a sidebar in the blog 'Esperanto?' which gives links to the Wikipedia article on Esperanto, plus links to free software for learning Esperanto, and a web site for learning Esperanto called 'Lernu!'

There is also a link to my blog page on Esperanto radio broadcasts audible in the internet.

Hi Michael Martin,

Is that really you? The only Michael Martin I know is the one who said 'Nissa delenda est' and that people in the U. P. should come after me with their Second Amendment tools (guns).

Are you THAT Michael Martin? If you are, you're still welcome to the blog, but if you are mean to me I'll start calling you Christmas Mike again. Or I'll write long blog entries about you in Esperanto and won't translate them. :>

If you have a current blog, let me know where it is.

Love,
Nissa

Hi Nissa,

yes, it's me, your former sparring partner from good ol' Erin! But don't worry, no more bad feelings. Lot's of changes at my end. Just revamping my own network.

It's 2.30 am over here. Hey, you got an E-mail address, so we can chat a bit?

Mike,

I don't use email any more because all my addresses get spammed.

But you can leave me messages here, I'd love to know what you've been up to.

Cool.
Well, 2 years ago I finally got internet access in my own home. I guess the 21 century finally caught up with me. But I still do cook all my food, and boil the water, over an open fire outdoors. Somethings never change!
But I have left the spiritual scene a good while ago. I am still very much Heathen (and a bit of a Pagan), but it's now a more cultural thing for me.
For the last 18 months I have been involved in the Tara campaign
( http://tarawatch.org ). Well, we didn't win. Some people still think they can turn it around. But I have taken a few steps back from the campaign. Lot's of infighting within the campaign as well, unfortunately. At the moment I am busy revamping my own E-groups network. Most of the groups are still up and running, but under different names.
Even got myself slightly involved in the U.S. election campaign, and I am siding with Ron Paul.

I am off to bed now, but will check your blog tomorrow at some stage.

Take care,

Mike

Mike,
Sorry your Tara campaign didn't succeed.

So you like Ron Paul. He came in fourth in the Michigan primaries yesterday.

Now that you have a Blogger account, you really ought to start your own blog on Blogger, it's really easy to do and you can list all of your e-groups in the sidebar.

If you do start a blog, I'll tell you some of the ways to promote it so you get more readers.

And maybe you can study Esperanto a couple months so you can do a bilingual Esperanto/English blog. ;)

I had two blogs going up to about 18 months ago. But they are well out of date now. As I said, I am re-vamping my internet presence. It will take some time, but eventually I will get back to blogging again.
But to be honest, I am more a Yahoo groups man than a blogger.
