"Mi ne scias, ke signifos la elektado-novajho, sed ni preghas ke la plej bona kandidato por nia partio kaj nia lando akiros kandidatigon ĉi tiu jaro. Mia vivofavora pregho por nia lando:
“Plej kompata Jesuo, Mi petas Vin tra la pro-peto de Via karega Patrino kiu nutris Vi de infanaĝo, benu mia denaska lando. Mi petegis Vin, Jesuon, rigardon ne sur niaj pekoj, sed sur la larmoj de malgrandaj infanoj, sur la malsato kaj malvarma ili suferas. Jesuo, pro ĉi tiuj senkulpa iuj, donu al mi la graco ke mi petas de Vi por mia lando.”
Ĉi tiu fariĝis mian preferatan preĝon ekde Mi trovis ĝin en la Taglibro de Santka Faustina kelkaj monatoj antaŭe."

"I don’t know what that means for the rest of the primaries, but let’s pray that the best candidate for our party and our country will get nominated this year. My pro-life prayer for our country:
“Most merciful Jesus, I beseech You through the intercession of Your dearest Mother who nurtured You from childhood, bless my native land. I beg You, Jesus, look not on our sins, but on the tears of little children, on the hunger and cold they suffer. Jesus, for the sake of these innocent ones, grant me the grace that I am asking of You for my country.”
This has become a favorite prayer or mine since I found it in the Diary of St. Faustina a few months ago."
