But how about a person's right to die in dignity? There are situations where it's more humane letting people die than forcing them to stay alive.

What is more undignified than to be starved and dehydrated to death because you are guilty of the 'crime' of being disabled?
Once a society decides it's okay to kill people for being disabled, Gay, Jewish or whatever, then nobody in that society is safe. Nazi Germany is proof enough of that.
